Gemini 2.5 Flash is a Thinking/Reasoning model that spends time and tokens thinking through the translation problem and costs 2 credits per image.

Image context Gemini variations cost 1 extra credit on top, since image tokens are expensive. Adding the image to the input can potentially result in better translation, since the model can look at the image and translate it with full context like a human. Still experimental.

No, translations in Torii cost credits per unique [image-language-model-font-stroke] combination, so if you haven't changed your settings, you just get back the translation you already requested the first time, without cost.

Some websites make it very difficult for images to be downloaded. They encrypt the images or shuffle them with some algorithm. Torii needs to be able to download the image in order to process it, because it can't simply grab the image off your browser page due to Chrome's security policies. If an error occurs then that is most likely the case.

You should then try using the special Torii functions accessed by right-clicking with your mouse to open the Torii menu or by pressing "Alt+Shift+D" on your keyboard. Then you can try the "Screenshot Image" or the "Screen Crop Image" options.

You can also always download the image manually and upload it locally in the Translate page. Another option is going to a different website where Torii works better. There are plenty alternative sites online for reading manga or manhwa where Torii works flawlessly.
